The Stories We Tell—and the Ones We Can’t Ignore

This blog is mostly about branding, communication, and design—but sometimes it won’t be. And here’s why.

The world we live in is loud, fast-moving, and often overwhelming. Every day we’re bombarded with messages—through headlines, timelines, ads, and algorithms—each competing for our attention, trust, and belief.

As someone who works in branding and communication, I spend my days helping people tell stories—clear, honest, effective ones. But I also see how easily stories can be twisted, co-opted, or weaponized. I’ve spent years learning how to cut through the noise, and it feels increasingly irresponsible to not use that skill outside the professional realm.

So moving forward, this blog will occasionally include content that steps outside the bounds of design, strategy, or marketing. Posts that speak to the social and political climate we’re all navigating. Posts that aim to raise awareness, combat misinformation, and—maybe most importantly—offer tools for critical thinking.

This isn’t a pivot, it’s a widening.

I know this may not be for everyone. Some may prefer to keep business and politics in separate lanes. I respect that. But I can’t, in good conscience, go about my career pretending the world around me isn’t on fire. Communication shapes perception—and perception shapes reality. If I have a voice in that process, I want to use it thoughtfully and responsibly.

I trust that there’s enough work to go around, and that like-minded communities will recognize the values behind these words. If you’re reading this and it resonates—welcome. If it challenges you—thank you for sticking with it. If it turns you away—I wish you well.

There’s room here for curiosity, discomfort, and growth. I hope you’ll come along for the ride.
