We do not currently operate remarketing or retargeted advertising campaigns. If we begin to do so, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required before doing so.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. See Section 9 for the specific opt-out mechanisms available to you.

Legal bases (for users in the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions). We process personal data on the following bases: your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (to operate and improve the Site and measure advertising), performance of a contract (to respond to your requests), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We use vendors who process data on our behalf, including email delivery providers, web hosting and security providers, and analytics and advertising platforms described below. They are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information about your use of the Site and generates reports about Site activity. You can learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Ads. We use Google Ads for advertising measurement and conversion tracking. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to cooperate with law enforcement; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Subverse, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Subverse is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent. We will share information in other circumstances if you have consented to the sharing.
Certain disclosures to advertising partners may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or a disclosure for “targeted advertising,” under some state privacy laws. See Section 10 for your rights and how to opt out.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods:
- Contact form submissions: up to 24 months after our last substantive communication with you
- Newsletter subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, plus a reasonable period for suppression records
- Analytics data: the retention period set in our Google Analytics configuration (currently the default period, which we may adjust)
- Advertising conversion data: as required by Google’s products and our campaign reporting needs
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our standard practices.
6. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Third-Party Links and Services (Including Gumroad)
The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including our storefront on Gumroad, where we sell guides, tutorials, and other digital products. Any purchase you make on Gumroad is a transaction between you and Gumroad. Subverse does not process payments directly. When you follow a link to Gumroad or any other third-party site, the information you provide on that site is governed by that third party’s privacy policy and terms, not this Policy. We encourage you to review Gumroad’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before making a purchase.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at info@dissidentchoir.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your Choices and Opt-Out Mechanisms
- Newsletter. Every marketing email we send includes an “unsubscribe” link. You can opt out at any time, and we will honor the request promptly, consistent with CAN-SPAM and similar laws. Transactional messages (for example, responses to inquiries you sent us) are not marketing and are not covered by the unsubscribe link.
- Cookies. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site to stop working.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. We treat a GPC signal from a user in a U.S. state that recognizes it as a valid opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising to the extent required by law.
- Google Analytics. Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Ads personalization. Manage your preferences at Google Ads Settings or My Ad Center.
- Industry opt-out tools. The Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) offer consolidated opt-outs across participating advertisers.

- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
